You are invited to enter the Hogs n Hens cook-off and festival at the Duplin Events Center in Kenansv
ille, NC on October 17, 2009.
This is an NCPC sanctioned pork cook-off which will be judged using NCPC regulations, scorecards and qualified judges. The winners will be qualified to enter the North Carolina State Barbeque Championship for two years.
A hog will be provided to each team. This year we will have on-site judging only. There will be three winners.
All winners will receive a plaque, a cash prize and reimbursement for one $200 entry fee to the NC State Barbecue Championship.
Cash prizes are: 1st place $500, 2nd place $350, 3rd place $250.
The pork cook-off contest is limited to 20 participants.
The entry fee is $150. No refunds after September 15th.

The Hogs n Hens cook-off is a fundraising event for
Lazarex Cancer Foundation.
We recently opened a chapter in Wallace, NC since that is where we
had the family experiences that planted the seed for this foundation.
The community support there has been tremendous.
